Name: Tori Christ
Location: Västerås, Sweden
Job: Professional Soccer Player
Fondest Memory: In third grade, I won a trip to the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. My family and I got to see the U.S. Women's National Team, with some of the best players in history like Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, and Kristine Lily, play Norway in the final. It was amazing to be there and sparked my passion for the game even more.
Soundtrack: George Ezra
Retreat: The gym or a cafe
Wildest Dream: My wildest dream or wish would be to represent my country in the Olympics or the World Cup one day. Watching the 2000 Olympics really planted that idea in my head at an early age.
Proudest Moment: My proudest moment was signing my first professional contract. It took years and years of hard work, determination, and overcoming obstacles but that day everything was worth it.
Biggest Challenge: My biggest challenge has been overcoming my height as a female goalkeeper. I'm 5'4", much shorter than the average female goalkeeper, but have refused to let that stop me.
Perfect Day: My perfect day would start with either goalkeeper training or going to the gym, followed by going to a chill cafe and relaxing with a cup of coffee, good music, and an interesting book. After that, I would love to spend time with family and friends, maybe walking along a beach near the ocean.
Last Purchase: A coffee
Movie: Miracle
Why the Young & Brave Foundation: I personally know some children and families affected by cancer and it turns their whole world upside down. I am passionate about helping others and believe that even the smallest act of love and support can go a long way and make a difference. I feel so blessed to have been able to chase after my dreams from a young child to this point in my life, and I believe that every child should have the opportunity to grow up and realize their dreams.
