Warrior- 1. a person engaged or experienced in warfare; soldier. 2. a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness.
Chelsea (CJ) is a warrior in her second battle with Cancer.
Chelsea was first diagnosed at the young age of 6 February of 2017. Her initial diagnosis was Aplastic Anemia which over the next year would turn into Acute Myeloid Leukemia which kept her as an inpatient for 6 months. She had a Bone Marrow transplant July or\f 2018 with an unfortunate relapse of AML 5 years later on August 18, 2023. This diagnosis has come with an undetermined length of stay in the hospital.
Chelsea has come so far in her 5 years after the bone marrow transplant. She has enjoyed all the things she missed out on while being in the hospital for so long. The only thing she ever wanted to do while she was sick was be on skates. When she finally got the chance, she received a pair of Moxi skates in 2019. That is the moment she taught herself to be the Park Skater that she is today. Since that day she has been tearing it up at skateparks from Florida to Hawaii. She has made friends of all ages spanning across the globe. Skating has connected her to so many humans that have become her army and are ready to fight this battle by her side.
Now we have asked her to be a "Warrior" again. It is very different to start all of this over again as a teenager. She has experience and she knows what to expect being admitted back into the hospital. It has rocked our world overnight and no matter how much you know all of it sucks, you don't have a choice.
Chelsea is supported by her mother & father Tiff & Chris Craver and the best big brother Charlie along with an army of humans whom have loved Chelsea since the day they met her and ready to fight with her!
